About Us
Hi! We’re the Millers — Welcome to Brush & Stitch!
We’re so glad you’re here. Our hope is to create high-quality products that point back to God—sometimes through the designs themselves, and other times simply through the joy of making something beautiful, which reflects the creativity of our Maker.

Our Story
Years ago, neither of us thought we’d try online dating. But when neither of us met someone “the traditional way,” we each decided to give Hinge a try—and we couldn’t be more grateful we did! When we matched, Trent won Nicole over with his goofy (yet endearing) humor. Nicole caught Trent’s attention with her clear intentions—this wasn’t just to pass the time; we were both looking for something serious.
Our first date was simple but perfect: Thai food and a walk through South Bend, Indiana, talking and laughing the whole way. From there, our relationship grew naturally. We discovered shared loves—coffee, board and card games, antiquing, and being outdoors.
At the heart of it all, we shared the same foundation: faith and family. Knowing we both desired to live for Christ and further His kingdom, we prayed that marriage would be God’s plan for us. In His perfect timing, God gave Trent clear skies (when rain was forecasted) so he could propose on Nicole’s favorite beach. Of course, Nicole said yes! We were married on November 9, 2024, at historic Trinity Church in Michigan City.

Meet Nicole
Nicole grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and came to faith at a young age through her church’s “Little Lambs” program. Later, as a teenager, she made her profession of faith, claiming her beliefs as her own and committing to follow Christ.
She’s always been drawn to creativity—taking every art class her high school offered, and later earning a Fine Arts minor from Indiana Wesleyan University. By day, Nicole works as a school-based occupational therapist, helping children with special needs thrive in their learning environments.
Brush & Stitch began as a summer project, but quickly became a way for Nicole to keep creating, blending her love for art with her desire to glorify God.

Meet Trent
Trent grew up on a farm in southern Michigan and has been a lifelong Christian. As he matured in his faith, he chose to be baptized as an expression of his commitment to Christ.
Trent works in accounting for a horse trailer manufacturer, but his interests go far beyond numbers—he enjoys watching soccer (Go Chelsea and Team USA!), playing disc golf, and relaxing with video games. He’s also creative, with a passion for film and digital photography, and many of Nicole’s paintings are inspired by his beautifully composed photographs.
Behind the scenes, Trent assists by producing high-quality scans of artwork and helping maintain the website.
